Utech are thrilled to have collaborated with ADCO on the prestigious $85 million Institute of Applied Technology for Construction (IATC) project at TAFE NSW Kingswood – Nepean, located in Sydney's western region.

​The IATC project holds immense importance as it is the flagship training hub dedicated to the construction industry, aligning seamlessly with industry standards. the IATC will play a pivotal role in shaping the careers of up to 700 trades students annually.

We consider it a privilege to have worked on this project, particularly given our extensive experience working within education. The IATC project stands out as a testament to excellence and represents a significant advancement in the educational landscape.

Genisis Care

The Growbuilt and Utech team deliver on the remarkable $20 million oncology centre project for Genesis Care, which includes the successful completion of the LINAC machine bunker.

The LINAC machine bunker is a remarkable feat, boasting 128 tonnes of steel plating, high-precision patient positioning lasers, and a maze design engineered to effectively contain radiation and prevent its passage into adjacent areas. This critical project is poised to offer cutting-edge medical care, with the capability to treat up to 24 patients every hour within a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility located in Frenchs Forest.

The scope of this centre extends beyond conventional medical services, encompassing medical oncology, radiation oncology, haematology services, as well as post-exercise and dietary advice. The facility features amenities such as basement parking, an elevated Linear Accelerator bunker, consulting suites, an MRI scanner, and patient treatment bays.

We are honoured to contribute our electrical expertise to the construction of this state-of-the-art medical facility, marking yet another exciting achievement by the Growbuilt and Utech team.

Zetland

We are proud to be a part of Project Downtown Zetland in collaboration with builder Deicorp. This project encompasses a total of 546 residences, meticulously crafted to capture the vibrant and contemporary essence of Zetland's urban energy. Downtown living epitomizes the essence of an enhanced lifestyle. This is another project Utech are extremely proud to work with Deicorp on.

​Located in Terrey Hills on Sydney's Northern Beaches, Wyvern Private Hospital is a monumental $98 million project. This purpose-built hospital is primed to provide a comprehensive range of specialized medical services, including spinal, orthopaedic, vascular surgery, neurosurgery, interventional cardiology, pain management, and ophthalmology.

Within its walls, the facility will house seven advanced operating theatres, a cutting-edge catheterization laboratory, 56 surgical inpatient beds, 20 rehabilitation beds, eight intensive care unit (ICU) beds, and a multitude of clinical support units encompassing radiology, pathology, hydrotherapy, and pharmacy. Wyvern Private Hospital represents a harmonious fusion of nature, architecture, and medicine, dedicated to offering unparalleled care to patients, doctors, and staff, without compromise.


Surry Hills Shopping Village

Utech is delighted to have joined forces with Toga for the ambitious $200-million mixed-use precinct project in the heart of Surry Hills, Sydney. This transformative endeavour encompasses the revitalization of the shopping village and introduces a host of exciting features.

​The project encompasses three striking buildings housing 122 high-end apartments and a 102-room boutique hotel complete with a rooftop pool and bar, offering residents and guests an elevated experience. Additionally, ground floor retail spaces add to the vibrancy of the precinct.
Beyond the residential and hospitality elements, the mixed-use project will contribute up to 12,000 square meters of retail and commercial space, serving as a dynamic hub for the community. Emphasizing the project's commitment to green spaces, a new 517-square-meter public park will be introduced, providing an inviting outdoor retreat.

Moreover, the adaptive reuse of the heritage-listed former Bank of NSW building on Cleveland Street is an integral part of this visionary project. Utech is proud to be part of this transformative development that promises to redefine the Surry Hills landscape.

Griffith Hospital

This landmark $250 million project will provide the local region with expanded health services closer to home, meaning less time is spent travelling to access essential specialist care. A new three-story Clinical Services Building will boast an emergency department, maternity, and pediatric services, as well as a new rehabilitation and aged care inpatient unit.

​The new building has also been designed to improve patient experiences and outcomes, and expand access to outpatient services including renal dialysis and oncology. It will also include a dedicated short-stay mental health unit for people aged 16 years and over, with four beds specifically developed for adolescents and young people. The state-of-the-art Clinical Services Building will include: an improved emergency department, significant increase in specialist geriatric and rehabilitation beds, new operating theatres, surgical, and medical inpatient units, beds to support patients experiencing mental illness, maternity, medical imaging and paediatrics, and expanded outpatient services with more specialist clinics, renal and oncology services. Utech relish the opportunity to be part of another exciting project and contribute to the Griffith community.

North Shore Health Hub

​This state-of-the-art $119 million centre offers patients access to radiation oncology, medical oncology, day surgery, diagnostics, theragnostic and a clinical trials unit, all under the one roof. The mixed-use medical facility with an overall building NLA of 16,915m2 consists of two commercial tower buildings sitting on top of a 5-storey 17,000m2 basement for 357 car spaces and 2-levels of podium.

Tower A (health facility) and Tower B (commercial facility) sets a new benchmark in the provision of health services and healthcare workspace – including a day surgery facility, medical centre, medical imaging, pathology, cancer treatment, medical consulting suites, retail amenity and a 76m pedestrian link bridge safely installed in the live hospital environment, that connects the building to North Shore Private Hospital. The North Shore Health Hub has been awarded a 6 Star – Green Star – Design & As Built v1. 2 certified rating, representing World Leadership in environmentally sustainable building practices and exceeding its 5 Star target. Utech are proud to be contributing to the Royal North Shore Hospital health precinct, one of the busiest Hospital operational environments in NSW.


Petersham RSL and Precinct

​Spread across 3 towers, the Petersham RSL club re-development includes 375 apartments, restaurants, cafes and parks. The existing RSL venue will be demolished and replaced with an 11-storey apartment building. ​The new two-storey 3,500sq m RSL will create a centre for the precinct.

As one big development, the Petersham site features the new RSL Club with a day spa and at least two food eateries, as well as street scaping, landscaping, communal parks and six affordable housing units. This was a fast-paced development that was accompanied with the construction challenges of Covid 19 lockdowns and restrictions, Utech are pleased to be part of and to rise to the challenge in helping to deliver another successful project.

Waverly Bowling Club

​Located in Waverley, the 10,646 sqm Waverley Bowling Club site is approximately one hectare in area and in the premium coastal eastern suburbs of Sydney, approximately 6 kilometres from the CBD.

The site is nestled amongst an array of local infrastructure and amenity including Waverley Oval, Waverley College, Tamarama Beach and Westfield Bondi Junction. The project delivers a boutique project of 55 apartments for those aged over 55, integrated with a new Waverley Bowling Club and bowling greens to be retained by the ESLC. A high level of architectural design and feature resident amenities define this new rare quality offering in an area experiencing extremely limited supply. Utech is proud to be part of the $83 million redevelopment that secures the future of the Waverley Bowling Club and delivers a valuable community asset to members, residents and local community.

Bowral District Hospital

​Project built for Health Infrastructure NSW, this $50 million, four-storey hospital provides medical, mental health, maternity, paediatric and preoperative care for the local community.

New facilities include wards, operating theatres, an emergency department, ambulance entry, car parking and improved pedestrian links across the site. 

​Utech continues to build upon their extensive history of being involved in major hospital projects, via competitive tendering, extensive health experience and quality workmanship. Our experience in health sector projects has allowed us to hand over another successful project to a satisfied client (Health Infrastructure). The ADCO and Utech team’s dedication to facilitating the demands of this project ensured success. We are all proud to be contributing to the South Western Sydney Local Health District and the local Boral community.

Batemans Bay Aquatic centre

​This new $69 million aquatic centre replaced the community’s existing pool at Mackay Park, providing an a 25-metre, eight-lane pool with ramp access, a warm-water therapy pool, an indoor leisure pool with learn-to-swim and toddler areas, water-play areas and waterslides, a gym, group fitness rooms, and amenities.

The centre also contains arts and cultural facilities including a, 350-seat theatre, dressing and green rooms, rehearsal space, art exhibition and storage space, meeting and multi-purpose rooms and amenities. Utech were thrilled to be part of this wonderful facility that will operate all year round, and was a boost to the local community. Utech was able to provide work for local electricians and subcontractors.

77 Market St

​77 Market is a 32 storey $300 million mixed use residential and commercial tower in the heart of the CBD. It is an adaptive reuse of the original David Jones Men’s Store, that also fronts 77 Market Street.

Above the existing heritage building, the development will see a 22-level luxury residential tower with 100 boutique apartments overlooking Hyde Park and Sydney Harbour. Utech are proud to work with Scentre group on stage 2, the 22-level development. This Project leaves its mark, improving the already scenic Sydney City skyline.

South Village Kirrawee

The South Village flagship project is a residential and retail development project situated in the heart of Kirrawee, a few minutes’ walk from Kirrawee train station and local bus services.

The project includes 779 residential apartments spread across 6 buildings, 1600 on site car spaces, a brand-new shopping centre with Coles and Aldi supermarkets, childcare centre, and 27 specialty retailers. The village precinct will also include an array cafés and restaurants. Utech is proud to be working with the development companies, Deicorp and Payce, and contributing to the Sutherland Shire community. This enormous project won the coveted Sydney Design Award for design process and product of planning, and construction. This is one of many projects Utech are thrilled to have worked on with Deicorp. ​

Liverpool Hospital Car Park

​Liverpool Hospital’s seven-storey multi-storey car park, for Health Infrastructure and South Western Sydney Local Health District is part of the planned $740 million works for Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct.

The new parking facility offers an additional 500 car spaces, which are required for Liverpool’s health facilities to adapt to the region’s fast-paced population growth, projected to double in the next decade. The car park will make use of solar panels to improve the hospital’s sustainability and will eventually connect with hospital buildings across Campbell Street via a ‘sky bridge’.

Bondi Junction Archibald

​The Archibald is a high-end residential project located in the exclusive Bondi Junction. It consists of 17 storeys, 4 levels of carparking, 81 luxury apartments, outdoor terrace and a number of shopfronts.

The creative masterpiece of celebrated architects KANNFINCH and Urban Possible, Archibald ascends strikingly in one of the most cosmopolitan addresses in the city. With its timeless façade, Archibald will dramatically enrich the Sydney skyscape. The graceful pentagonal form and strong vertical lines hint at nostalgic 1930s architecture, while maintaining a bold contemporary edge.

Woolooware Shores

Utech are proud to work with Growthbuilt to deliver the D&C brand new Anglicare development at Woolooware Shores RACF. The new development provides additional seniors residential and care facilities to meet ever increasing market demand.

The overall development, constructed in 3 stages, provides a total of 183 self-contained dwellings and 48 residential aged care beds across six new buildings which will reinvigorate the underutilized site, offering a diverse range of new community uses and taking maximum advantage of its waterside context. It has been designed to promote usability, with opportunities for social interaction and equitable access. The Wollooware Shores project was awarded 2021 Urban Taskforce Australia Development Excellence Award.

Kiama Aged Care

The $103 million Blue Haven Bonaira aged care centre contains 34 aged care accommodation beds (RACF), 59 independent living apartments (ILUs), community hall and meeting room facilities.

The precinct also houses a community care administration service and the project involves the heritage restoration of Barroul House, containing a cafe / restaurant and community facilities. Utech are delighted to have contributed to the Kiama community by taking part in such a project. ​

Clemton Park Shopping village

The Parkview Clemton Park Shopping Village project is located in between the suburbs of Clemton Park and Campsie. It Breathed new life into what was the old Sunbeam Factory.

It comprises of 743 residential apartments across 5 buildings with 7,000 square metres of retail space including a new Coles supermarket and specialty retail. 

​On-site parking is 4 basement levels with 687 car spaces. It won the Urban Taskforce Australia’s Mixed Uses Development Award at the Development Excellence Award. Utech are proud to be working with Parkview on yet another ward winning project for us.

Shell Harbour Civic Centre

This striking $65 million development is the cultural heart of Shellharbour and includes administration offices, council chambers, a library with interactive play area, museum, café, a 350-seat auditorium, and 170 parking spaces. Integral to the design is the Centre’s iconic wave-like timber feature roof.

This new landmark development achieved a 5 Star Green Star As-Built Public Building Rating and won the Australian Library and Information Association’s Library Design Award, the Public Works Australia Engineering Excellence for Local Government Award, and the NSW “Public Architecture Award” from the Australian Institute of Architects, and the ‘Urban Design and Public Spaces’ category at Good Design Australia.  This is another of many Utech proudly worked with ADCO on.
Australia Post Parcel Sorting Facility

The Australia Post parcel sorting project at Chullora incorporated a major extension of the existing facility to accommodate the increased volume of parcel postage resulting from the online shopping boom. The project was completed under a fast-track program of 28 weeks.

The $40 million extension includes the design and construction of an additional 15,000m² warehouse space which was connected to the existing operational facility. The warehouse is a steel structure with low height pre-cast concrete walls, full height insulated wall panels with and an insulated panel roof. The warehouse floor is a mesh and fibre combination slab with a high-quality burnished finish. Building services include air-conditioning to the entire warehouse space with all major plant installed on platforms underneath the roof. ​
